We stay a week or two at this park a couple of times a year because it’s convenient to family and friends.
It’s always mostly full especially on weekends.
For the life of me I don’t understand why they are letting such a popular place go downhill! The last few years has needed mowed so badly. Where is all the money going???!!!

Great place to camp, quiet, peaceful. The staff were great. The wife and I camped there while I had a medical procedure done at UAMS. Although the campground is older, the public showers and bathrooms were clean. They could use a ventilation fan in the bathhouse during the summertime to circulate fresh air. The site has all the camping facilities. We had a great spot by the river, and it was great to see the sunrise on the Arkansas River in the morning.

Campground grounds are beautiful, lots of old trees and shade. Staff very kind and helpful. The bathrooms and showers are old, somewhat decrepit and need some work. Easy in and out to Little Rock for sightseeing. Looks great for bicycling.

We were visiting family in Little Rock area and stayed a week at the campground. The grass was way over grown and the mosquitoes were horrible. Our site was flooded twice with 2-3 inches of water that we had to wade in the exit camper and when we packed up. Lastly the showers were rundown & in need of paint & repair and light was completely out in one stall. The camp host did not ask if we enjoyed our week stay when checking out so we didn’t bother saying anything to her.

The campground is large and some of the sites are not well marked. Also the bathhouses are hot and little air flows in them. In summer I chose one with a tree over it for shade for showering early in the day. Also there are not enough staff to manage the campers.

Just know that if it rains the water will usually drain away pretty quickly.
