What Guests Are Saying
Piney Bay Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with spacious, clean campsites near the water, making it ideal for relaxation and family activities. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean restrooms, and beautiful views, particularly for fishing and kayaking. While some sites may have leveling issues and occasional noise from nearby boats and trains, the overall experience is positive, with many campers planning to return.

Normally we have a great experience at Piney Bay, however this last visit was very disappointing. Someone was in our campsite when we arrived. After finding out the people were not going to vacate the site we reserved and paid for, we were given another site. We chose the original site we reserved to be close to our friends we camp with. The new site we were assigned was on the other side of the campground. The park hosts tried to notify the park ranger the day we arrived however he did not answer and did not show up into the next afternoon to speak with the people that were still in the campsite we reserved. While we were at our friends campsite we watched the park ranger pull up to talk to the people in our reserved campsite and then drove off. He never attempted to speak with us to apologize for someone else being in our reserved campsite or gave us a reason to explain why this was not taken care of. The people should have been made to move to another campsite that was available or fined for not moving. The camp hosts were very nice and did all they could. I just can’t say the same about the park ranger as I don’t think he did his job. I just hope this never happens to someone driving from out of state. Can you imagine pulling up to your reserved campsite on only to find the people who had been there all week decided they would stay a while longer without making reservations or paying?? Looks to me like there would be an enforced policy in place to protect people from this??

The campground is great and the bathhouse it clean. Great fishing, just watch out for the stumps across the bay.

the people that runs the place were good. the bathrooms need to be updated with exhaust fans and proper floor drains instead of all showers running together. the hookups are still set up for overhead campers, you turn on the ac unit and a fan outside it throws a breaker, the power needs to be upgraded to 50 amp. the fish cleaning station needs to be put back in . we people that camp deserve this because we pay rent on campsites plus we are tax paying people and as for as the cleaning station being vandalized park rangers patrolling the park would likely detour this but we had a good time and it is a beautiful park

The drive up was enjoyable. The camping sites were easy to find and well marked. I loved how they were paved and very clean. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back.

Piney Bay is our absolute favorite place to camp. Whether we are there for a week or a weekend we always leave satisfied and refreshed. It's a quiet, beautiful place to hang out with loved ones and to meet new people. We enjoy fishing, kayaking and swimming. The staff is always helpful, the bathhouse/restrooms are always cleaned, and the campsites are well kept with plenty of room to spread out. We love Piney Bay and we will be back lots of times in the coming weeks/months. Thank you for Piney Bay!!
