What Guests Are Saying
Dam - Quarry campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-kept grounds, and great trout fishing in the Norfork River. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and friendly park staff, with several expressing a strong desire to return. However, there are concerns about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and some facilities needing maintenance, which some attribute to the behavior of other campers rather than park management.

Well maintained campground in a beautiful area. The camp hosts were attentive and helpful, and the other guests were quiet and respectful. Can't wait to come back again.

Really nice campground despite the lack of full hookups. Great access to the Norfork as well as to Crooked Creek not far away for fishing for trout and smallmouth respectively. Excellent restaurant (The Grill at Whispering Woods) nearby and the Norfork Brewery is a place to go, try local brew if you are so inclined. One primary draw for this place is if you have kids or grandkids under 16, the trout hatchery allows fishing in Dry Run Creek (which is stocked with large and hungry trout and that is the the discharge from the hatchery) for those kids - fantastic place to go to be relatively assured of hooking some nice fish and getting those kids excited about fishing. Highly recommended.

Campground was overgrown with grass that needed cutting. looked as it hadn't been cut in about 3 week and last time it was it probably was the same as there was clumps of dead grass everywhere. Everywhere on the river was over growing as well .

We love camping at Dam Quarry. The sites are big, the park is very clean as are the restrooms. The river is right there for trout fishing and the park managers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice little site, great big grassy areas all around for the kids and pups. Playground and dump station close by with plenty of restrooms and showers close by if needed. Hosts were a pleasure to speak and deal with. Water and 30amp electric between 47 and 48, water is shared between the two sites. Our only complaint was the family next to us that pawned their kids off on all the other campers while they partied.. nice folks but horrible neighbors... though this point is irrelevant to the quality of the campground. Have more reservations and intend to stay many more times.
