Campsites and bathrooms are pleasant and clean

I hate the new camping regulations. Been camping and fishing Norfork river for 40 plus years and thinking pretty strong about finding another place to camp and fish, and I am not the only one. Just wait till all this Covid is over see how full the park is.

We have camped here several times and are always satisfied. The scenery is amazing. You’ve got the best of both worlds with the lake and river being right there. There are plenty of hiking trails near by or you can fish or swim. Camping on the river is awesome and gives you some cool nights after hot days.

This was our first time at Dam Quarry. We were in site 25. We were really happy with the location, the ease of access to the river, and the general upkeep of the park. Site 25 doesn't have as much shade, but is still a nice spot with a fabulous view of the river. There was green space in the middle for those staying in the inside of the loop. The fishing was fabulous. We were thankful for the consistent schedule of the dam. We did visit the city of Norfork about 10 minutes away. We ate at Heidi's Ugly Cakes...yum! There is also have a fishing supply shop, Two Rivers Fly Shop, if you need any fishing supplies. The only downside is that when we were ready to go, the dump station was not working. I know it's not the staff's fault, but it sure would have been helpful if they could make the rounds on Sunday morning to all the people planning to leave that day, and let them know the dump station wasn't working and not to fill our tanks. We filled our tanks and headed to the dump station, only to discover that it was out of service. Traveling 200 miles with full tanks was not appealing. We asked at the office if they had any suggestions, other than just dumping our gray tank in the parking lot, and they weren't any help. Fortunately, we remembered a new little RV park at the triangle about 3 minutes away. We drove over and she let us dump for a fee. We gladly paid! That was the only downside for the weekend. We recommend it, but check the dump station before you leave :-)

Beautiful COE campground by the Norfork dam. We were site 11, overlooking the stream. Sites are level, paved, nice picnic tables, benches along the stream, bathrooms nice. Be sure and stop by the fish hatchery across the street.

We love Dam-Quarry BUT the folks who clean the bathrooms do a terrible job. We were in spot 13, right across from the older bathrooms and one day they spent less than 15 minutes cleaning all of them. Some days we never saw them come at all. The main handicap bathroom had poop smeared all over the side for two days. Other than that, we always enjoy our stay there.

The site was very clean and level.
Camp hosts were helpful and very friendly.
The common areas well taken care of. We have enjoyed each and every trip there.

Nice park. We always love camping there. The bathrooms however we nasty at time. People are so nasty.

We could smell the sewer for the campground from our spot. We notified the attendant, they were aware of the problem, and said it was on the list to be fixed, but had no ETA. We were at spot 66.
