Spot 21 - 24 are THE best camp sites directly across from the lake. They have electric and water hookups but no sewage but there's a common sewage dump area when entering the camp site so that's not a problem. It is very peaceful and at least when we were there everyone camping was very quiet. Mary, the campground host is very gracious and allowed us to change our original campsite (no. 38) to 21. The Park Ranger (Kenneth) was also great and told us some great stories about the area and the Crater of Diamonds. :-)

This is our second time at Cowhide Cove. It's a beautiful spot, and the campsite host is so very nice. They have great sized spots, water, electrical hooks-ups, picnic tables, grills, lantern posts, and more. One of the more beautiful spots on Lake Greeson. Only thing I wished they had was firewood and Ice for sale at the campground, so make sure to bring that with you. Plenty of places nearby to purchase. We will be returning again to this campground.

This is a poorly laid out campground. It has 2 sections but no signs as to what direction you need to go for your site #. If you miss the lower section you have go through the campground, turn around and come back to a very tight turn into the lower section or go down the road to private property and turn around. When leaving you face the same dilemma as you can't get to the dump station without one of the two options. The campground host was no help explaining how you are expected to turn around. A fire ban was in place so I asked about using a propane fire pit, she had no idea on that either.

We had a great time. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t get to have a fire due to the burn ban that was going on. If this is a thing you look forward to then you might want to check to see if there is a burn ban before you go.

We had a wonderful stay. Only issue that could be fixed is better signage. When we arrived we were unaware of where campsite 1 was. So we went straight on instead of slightly down the hill to the right. No big deal except when you turn around to come back there is absolutely no way to maneuver a travel trailer in such a tight area. We had to go back down the road a ways to turn around and come back. I guess next time I will call ahead but a sign showing where those overflow campsites are would have been extremely helpful.
