"Aux Arc" is a name that originated with French explorers when they mapped the territory. The term means "the big bend," describing the bend in the Arkansas River. We had a wonderful time at Aux Arc! The sites were well maintained and except for the Dam lights on all night, everything was perfect (we were tent camping, so wouldn't be a problem in an RV. Loved this campground ❤

Aux Arc is a beautiful campground. Well spaced sites. The grounds are well kept. Could use easier access to river and an upgrade on restrooms, although the restrooms were kept very clean.

Lovely Spot we stayed for two nights in Our Airstream trailor. We realty enjoy the stateb parks. Camping in a beautiful, natural Settings with lots of TREES and separation between sites.

very nice and will return. there were lots of campers but it was very quiet!!! No one bothered us, we had a ballgame going on an outside tv and it was all good. Camp host are great people.

We enjoyed a tree-shaded campsite right on the river’s edge, within sight of the dam. Watching the barges was a treat! The breeze off the water was wonderfully cool, even on near 100 degree days. Hookups (water and electric) were easy and quick for our small class B motor home. The site was level, and though woodsey, was clean and well maintained. Bathhouses and restroom facilities were also clean and well maintained. The dump station was easy to access, and near enough to the bathhouse to wash up afterward. The only issue was a very active railway line across the river with the sound being amplified by the (beautiful) rocky bluff. The fresh air and breeze must have calmed me, because my husband said I slept through at least 3 trains in the night! We loved it! And with the ease of registering online, we are already planning our next mini-vacation to Aux Ark Park!
