About Aux Arc

Download a park map HERE  Aux Arc Campground sits on the shores of Ozark Lake in the picturesque Arkansas River Valley. "Aux Arc" is a name that originated with French explorers when they mapped the territory. The term means "the big bend," describing the bend in the Arkansas River. Over time, the name was simplified to "Ozark," thus the name for Ozark Lake.

We love that park. However this time the grass was so high it was taller than our little dog. We ended up getting ticks off of us. Otherwise it was ok

We love this park!!! It is so peaceful and relaxing here. I told my wife, if I could live here, I would become the most worthless human on Earth. It's so easy to do absolutely nothing here. We live 250 mi away and come here every chance we get. You want a place to rest, this is it. Clean, quiet, peaceful. Highly recommended.

This place is great. Right on the river, super wide sites, power and water connections. It was super quiet and not many people here, but I’m not sure when peak season is here. The hosts are delightful and helped us get settled in. Yes - there are trains. About every three hours, the horn. It is actually enjoyable. Our site was level and it looks like most are.
