About Aux Arc

Download a park map HERE  Aux Arc Campground sits on the shores of Ozark Lake in the picturesque Arkansas River Valley. "Aux Arc" is a name that originated with French explorers when they mapped the territory. The term means "the big bend," describing the bend in the Arkansas River. Over time, the name was simplified to "Ozark," thus the name for Ozark Lake.

You did not have a water hose available at dump station that would connect to RV so the black tank could be flushed out.

Beautiful peaceful location with sites that are flat and lots of shade trees. My only complaint was that it was a very hot day when I was there and the shower had no cold water, only hot water coming out. Other than that, it was wonderful.

Area was clean, hosts were amazing. Ozark is a small quaint town. Relaxing. Trees were cut down since last year and recommend photos be updated. The hosts were great in changing our reservation as photo showed trees and shade, however site is now full sun. We go to Aux Arc annually. Relaxing, watch barges, enjoy the town

We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights. We took 3 of our great grandkids ages 6, 11 and 13. They all went fishing but only the six year old caught his first and only one caught fish. Everyone enjoyed themselves even though it was extremely hot. Our youngest son just wanted to go camping for his birthday. Since his dad has been sick we haven’t gone all year.
