The site that was shown online as 09 was not the site that was marked 09. So instead of having a site right by the water (none there are) our site was right on a road. When you opened the camper door, you was basically in the road. Not ideal for 3 kids and two dogs. The site hadn’t been checked or prepared for guests. We had a huge wasp nest in the electrical box, it hadn’t been mowed or large limbs picked up, the fire ring was a joke. There was a house right behind our site. Like We spent $72 to park in a neighbor’s yard!?! Our son and grands encountered people at the swim area that were obnoxious. We saw no park rangers. The bath and showers were on the other side of the park. Not impressed at all with this camp area.

Love the campground for the trees, the proximity of the lake and panoramic view of the lake.

This is a great campground and great hosts.... but they have added huge rocks along the roadways which make them narrow and difficult to pass by another vehicle. I'm guessing that they did it to secure the shoreline, but they created safety concerns by doing so.

We love this site, all sites are right at the water and everyone is always friendly. The showers are always clean. If our Sisters or Sons come there are cabins right there plus a store to get ice and a restaurant if you don't want to cook or it rains. If you forget anything it's only 20 minutes to Peel and a Dollar General. mostly we like to relax and look at the beauty. Fishing is always fun and there is a beach for swimming. It's fun to ride the Peel Ferry across if you come in on the Missouri side and there is a Pizza Place that was just reopened on the Missouri side too.
