Nice clean park and close to home for weekend getaways. The RV pads are very nice and enlarged beyond the picnic camp table.
Nice breeze off of the river made extremely hot days bearable.

For the week we were there we were only 1 of 4 other campers. We absolutely loved it! It was quiet, clean and the most peaceful vacation we have had yet. The grass needed mowing when we arrived but that was taken care of the next day. This is my most favorite camping spot yet.

The campground was beautiful. The bathroom and shower facilities were awful: dirty, unventilated and unlit half the time. The worst I’ve seen.

Facility was great, river view was beautiful but the grass was knee high! I paid money for the facility and grounds for a family gathering and could not let could not let children play due to the grass being so high!

Would be a 5 but there needs to be improvements to the sights, better signage for the areas.

Tar Camp is my favorite place to camp. I love watching the Tug Boats go up and down the river. It is located in a wonderful town called Redfield. This camp should be open all year. To me the COE is not using this place to it's fullest. We would camp year round if it was open. To me this would help in theft of property. My family was just there in May 2022, there was no Park Attendant at the gate. New Campers wandered around for there sight. The Dump Station overflowed. And the Bathrooms was dirty. We tried calling the Park Ranger (no answer) the number on the website(no answer). But, all of a sudden a Park Ranger showed up to give my Husband a warning ticket for parking on the grass, lol. All that being said I still love Tar Camp❤❤
