Our only complaint is that the grass was uncut. With it being a busy holiday weekend (Memorial Day) you'd think it would have been.
Other than the landscaping, it was great! We really enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be coming back.

We had to leave early as they closed the park due to potential flooding. Park was in good condition when we left. Have been there many times and always enjoy ourselves.

The site was great, the staff i saw was great This was meant to be a Mother’s Day weekend with family and friends on Saturday But the weather made it awful I actually came in on Wednesday the 4th to be able to set up before the rain. Thursday it rained most of the day But I still enjoyed the visit with my family that came in on Thursday Morning By Friday afternoon there were warnings of possible floods. So on Friday afternoon we were acted to be out of the park by 2 pm Saturday. This was no fault of the camp or corp, just a disappointment for us I was just think I want to go back as soon as I get a chance. loved the site and the entire camp grounds

Park was very clean. The volunteer park maintenance was excellent. I was impressed and had felt safe.

Camp has been reopened and campsites are very nice. My husband is handicapped and the restrooms were not close enough to the campsites. And there needs to be more. Great for larger rvs with restrooms on board but not so accommodating for pop ups or tents and having to walk to restrooms.

Tar Camp IS THE place to stay, on a one night traveling thru, or for a week. Coming from the interstate, the road winds you back to the camp, and driving it slowly relaxed us both. Easy to find the correct site, easy to back into, and the view of the river is excellent.
Our place to stay traveling between Florida and Missouri.

This is the first time since Tar Camp had the flood. I liked the area around the tables being a pad of concrete. This was so much better than what they had. We liked the grill along with the fire rings at the site. There are still a few loose ends needing to be taken care of but all and all was very nice camp again. Tar Camp has always been our favorite camp to stay at for a few days. It was a little quite still with not having too many birds around. Always had quite a few that were nesting and singing, that to will come in time. It is still a little early for all to be back to the way it was before the flood. There was barge traffic was very active during our stay. We will be going back more this summer and fall.
