This is a small beautiful campground with amazing views of the Arkansas River.
It is owned by the Army Core of Engineers so you book your stay on recreation.gov
There is no beach which is strange due to the name but there are a lot of trees and grass that are all along the river bank. Every evening, we would take our chairs out to the river and watch the water fowl and fish life on the river. We must have seen more than 6 types of egrets/herons out there. There were a lot of little shiners jumping and sometimes we would hear a big splash and some big fish had jumped out of the water leaving only rings rolling over the water. We never got to see it actually jumping but we hear it numerous times!
The camp hosts were very nice and available if necessary.
The bathrooms are nothing fancy but perfectly adequate.

This is a really super site. We've made a reservation here for the April 8th Eclipse. It's right on the edge of totality. This time we're going to stay 3 days so we can enjoy the fishing and the birdwatching. I finally figured out that the low musical gong from across the river was a pipe factory -- quite enjoyable, it sounded liked a Tibetan Temple gong. Hoping for clear skies for the Eclipse.

Would recommend for getting married there because it was so beautiful when I did, especially when I had it at a little over 6pm the sunset was absolutely amazing.

This is a small campground but nice. The site was level, water and electric with dump station on your way out. Very nice water view with awesome sunset. This was an overnight stay and worked well. One negative is the ant beds. We were able to manage this with our Home Defense spray that we use on our water hose, electrical power cord and tires.

Very clean, spots were reasonably spaced away from others. Grounds were well tended. Will stay again.

We arrived at Willow Beach got checked in. Went to our site(01). It was very level and plenty of room for our 36 ft. Solitude fifth wheel and the Ram 3500 long wheel base truck. We were only staying one night so we were so level we did not even need to unhook. Park gate attendant was very courteous and professional. We did not see park hosts if there were any.
