We usually always enjoy the stay at this park. I would have given it 5 stars if we could have emptied the gray water on the ground like at some of the other Corps of Engineers parks. Other than that we enjoyed several beautiful sunsets on the river and had a great time visiting with friends and family.

Area was beautiful, caretakers were very nice. Spots had plenty of room between each.

A beautiful little campground right on the banks of the Arkansas River. We only stayed 3 nights, but enjoyed it. Site was fairly level, huge, with pretty new utilities (water and electric only), though they were located pretty far back in our site (F-17), which was a bit awkward. Being backed right up to the river and having a wooded oxbow lake across the road was pretty awesome. Our site had a concrete picnic table, fire ring and grill, and a small table to hold your grilling preps. We didn't use the restrooms, so can't comment on those, but the dump station was okay, and located right on the way out. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

My husband and I were in need of an overnight campsite while traveling back to Michigan from Texas. Willow Beach is close to the interstate for quick access, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The campground host called me late in the afternoon of our arrival just to check in with us.....explained where our campsite was, etc. I appreciated that there was no gate to the campground that needed a code to enter.
