What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

After occupying the site we learned that the toilets were locked. It was early in the season but the water to the sites was on so it didn't make much sense. No mention was made of the lack of toilets when making the reservation through recreation.gov.

Great area. Can be tricky to find a place to pitch a tent because the ground is so sloped.

This was an amazing campsite and the park attendants were very attentive. We camped in our tent for 2 nights and loved it. Some of our favorite activities were playing soccer in the open field near the playground, cooking around the fire, and hiking Shaddox Hollow (1.5 mile hike; 15 minute drive to the trailhead). While we were there we were already planning a trip back in the summer to take advantage of swimming in the lake!

Prairie Creek was my first Corps campground. I LOVED IT! The site was spacious, it was quiet, and I could go on lovely walks around the campground. I was looking for a place to relax, and this exceeded expectations.

Note that this specific campsite should probably be re-paved, it's chipping off down the hill it's on, so backing the trailer on to the now very narrow drive was fun. (more deteriorated than the picture on the site shows) But, once that was all sorted it's a very nice area - close to Bentonville which is why I booked this location. Very easy in / out access.
