Beautiful site (16). Brand new bath house was very clean. Park could use some signage, we thought we were lost then stumbled upon our loop. Not much to do except enjoy the water. About a 45 minute drive to Bentonville if that’s in your plans.

Reserved this location for the first 6 days of July in order to hopefully avoid fireworks. Instead, there are no park rangers therefore no rules are enforced. Fireworks went off every night. That is my biggest complaint - there is not a professional staff at the park any longer - anything goes. In general, there is no evidence that any money has been spent on the upkeep of the campgrounds. The skylight over the primitive bathroom has not been cleared off for at least a couple years - this is the only light provided during the day, and it would be adequate normally.

Our camping spot was wonderful #14 and we thouroughlly enjoyed it - we just wished it had running water also. Boat dock and launching was nearby - within walking distance. Drive to town took 20 minutes.

Beautiful spot. Pit toilets were not too bad and the shower was nice. My brother and I spent the weekend and the booth attendant did the computer entry to change our spot to one with shade. When we did that at Dam Site Lake the attendant was not helpful and of course when I tried I did it wrong and ended up paying for two sites.

With the exception of water faucets, the stay was great, couldn’t ask for a better view, but faucets are so far away you have to carry your water in.

Stayed at site 20, beautiful view. You are next to the bathhouse and I was tent camping. The lights are bright, you do hear the bathroom door closing, and you have quick access to the water so people walk through your site often. None of those things bothered me, I had an amazing time. The bathhouse is new and clean. The campground host Genesis is a delight and gives amazing cave tours at war eagle cavern! Felt safe and everything was very clean. Site 14 is what I would try to get next! Really no bad sites in my opinion on the water at least. Hope you go and have a great time
