We love this campground. The sites are spacious and it’s quiet. The river is peaceful and it’s fun watching the barges go in and out of the lock and dam at the community park next to the campground.

Facilities and grounds are always clean. The campsites are spacious, so you don’t feel like you’re on top of anyone. I recommend walking over to the new pickleball courts if you are looking for fun activities! The playgrounds at the lock and dam are also great for the kiddos!

we spent 2 days there and it was a beautiful time with the fall foliage. The campground was well taken care of. One negative is an industrial noise nearby that was annoying. We would stay again. We toured Petit Jean Park nearby and it was wonderful. A must see.

We stayed only one night at Old Post Road, but it was a very nice camp site. Everything was clean and orderly. We loved the mature tree canopy and view of the river below the dam.

This location was beautiful, felt private enough, and a great spot near a playground and bathrooms. It’s also very affordable for what you get: parking, water, electricity, lights, and a grill, if needed. There’s also two bar height spots which was perfect for setting up a buffet line for our party.
