War Eagle Campground

Site 18. Cell service is good. If you have any kind of camper longer than 18 ft you won’t fit. Getting in and out is not easy. The parking area is right at the camp site, which was fine as nobody was parked down there, but if there were cars it would be close to impossible to back the camper in to the spot. Electric at site. No water at site. Dump area worked well and easy to access. Decent swimming area. Boat launch area was decent as well. Everyone was kind, helpful and pretty quiet after 10. Showers were hot and fairly good water pressure. Overall a nice campground, very clean and looked well kept. Not too busy even at the boat launch area. Park rangers came around regularly and were friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at this campground, the large bathroom is nice and pretty clean for a camp bathroom. Smaller bathrooms are the scary type haha. I liked the covered tables and privacy that the spaced out sites provided. Water spout is not at each site but pretty close by. We understand why the swim beach was closed but wish this was disclosed when booking. It's very hard for any kids to not be able to swim in the hot summer while camping and even harder to explain to our autistic 7yo.
