What Guests Are Saying
Old Highway 25 is a highly praised campsite with beautiful lake views, clean facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite for family camping trips. Many guests enjoyed the spacious and well-maintained sites, especially in sections E and G, and appreciated the friendly staff and recreational opportunities. Some concerns were raised regarding water access and maintenance, but overall, the positive experiences and scenic environment lead to a strong recommendation for future visits.

Scenery was beautiful. Easy access to the water at most places. We saw some wildlife. We weren’t aware before we went that there weren’t individual water hookups. We have a portable grey tank and there are fresh drinking water faucets at every cove so it wasn’t a huge deal. The thing that was the biggest “no-go” for us was the bath houses. They are dark (some with only half of the lights functioning), dirty, and HOT! Even with an exhaust fan on, you were sweating just as much if not more than you were when you arrived. They are also FULL of spiders! We killed 6-8 spiders in our shower stall every time we went to shower.

This is a beautiful site that is well taken care of. For anyone traveling out of town though, please note THIS CAMPSITE IS IN A DRY COUNTY. The nearest liquor/beer was 45 minutes away, so if you have alcohol as part of your plans then make sure to pick it up on the way in.

The water is so clean, people are friendly, and clean campsites. Love camping here!! The only downside is there is no direct water hookup, and you have to fill the freshwater tank on your way in. We camp in A section a lot because it’s close to the swim area; but the bathrooms are awful so we always go out to another section for showers.

This site was nice with lots of shade and good view of lake. Only negative is rv pad sits in a low spot and if it rains about half of your camper sits in water. It needs some dirt work done to keep this from flooding. AT&T signal was 1-2 bars.
