An awesome spot! We did the walk in tent sites, the views were stunning, the service was outstanding. The most helpful staff I’ve ever met in a campground, you don’t get treated better or worse if you book a campsite vs a cabin, so very welcoming, and someone was there until 8pm to assist with check in, they have a coffee and tea bar that’s complimentary, little local coupons for places nearby, the bathrooms are big and very nice, I had to get ready for a wedding and was able to do my hair and makeup and steam my dress no problem. I’d recommend this place to anyone and will absolutely stay again, bring propane to fuel the “campfire” at your spot though, they do offer to bring some for a fee as well if you need, but you can’t have wood fires due to high winds up there. You are all the way up on the hill looking down at the ocean, what a beautiful way to start the day or end it. Go stay and experience the greatest welcome you’ve ever had at Flying Flags!

We stayed at Flying Flags Avila Beach for a Valentine’s Day trip with my girlfriend and our puppy. Unfortunately, we had a very scary experience with another group of campers who had large dogs off-leash. Their dogs attacked our puppy twice while ours was on leash, and the situation escalated to threats.
What completely turned this experience around was the staff. Sheri and Mike were absolutely amazing. They took the situation seriously right away, made us feel safe, and genuinely cared about our comfort. They went above and beyond by upgrading our site so we could relax and enjoy our stay again.
Their professionalism, kindness, and quick response made all the difference. We are extremely grateful to them and would not hesitate to return because of how well they handled everything. Highly recommend — especially if you’re traveling with pets. 🐾❤️

This place was amazing. The location felt slightly secluded. There were small beaches within walking distance (including an off-leash dog beach!), and a pier with a popular casual restaurant. The staff was friendly and kept everything clean. Every site has an amazing view and we loved the built-in fire pit.
There was so much to do in the area! Within one hour you can visit cute little towns, beaches and wineries. Biking trails and hiking, too. We had so much fun!

This place is top notch for RV spots on the Central Coast. Kind people at check in & the sites are always clean & ready to pull into. The built in gas fire pit is such a nice touch. It's a little higher in price here for camping but compare it to hotels in the area & take a look at the stunning, panoramic coastal views & you won't mind. We live close by but use this as a favorite staycation when we need a break from work 🏖

Amazing place. They have a very nice and strong wifi. Outlets everwhere in the walk-in tent camps. It is avery nice place, restrooms and showers are great. We asked for extra hand wash in the restrooms but they did not accommodate it for over 32 hours. There were some noisy people next to us, but the quiet hours were enforced and they quited down after 10pm. The staff is very helpful and nice, always ready to help and say good morning and how's your day going every time. The gas fire pits are very nice in both the evenings and the mornings. I very much suggest going up to the lookout point at 8-9 am with a sweater, to get a cup of tea (usually only green tea, I reccomend the bee honey in the tea) or coffee and go down to the community area, and sit by the fire pits and play some games or watch the water. The staff is very nice, and helpful with any issues. We barely had any issues (hand wash) and everything else went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay a lot;
