What Guests Are Saying

Cedar Bluff offers a beautiful, clean camping experience with friendly and helpful hosts, making it a favorite for many visitors. The lake is enjoyed for its fantastic water quality, and the campground has a lovely atmosphere. However, issues with restroom cleanliness, noise from neighboring sites, and the lack of bear-proof food storage have been noted by some campers, suggesting room for improvement in amenities and management.

Very nice campground that we have used for many years. Docents have done a wonderful job of maintaining even though some campers don't seem to respect the campgrounds, especially the restrooms. We will be camping there as long as we can

Campground is good condition and the hosts were very helpful. The dump station close to the campsite was closed but we were able to find one in Oakhurst.

Great campsite overall, well maintained bathrooms. We stayed in campsite 6 of Cedar Bluff and while it all worked out, the site was very very close to its next door neighbors. Also there was a camp host onsite; there was no need to check in at the station on Rd 222.

We go annually to Cedar Bluff. The site was clean and our overall experience was great. Love that we have Cedar Bluff to enjoy family time.

The site was nice and close to the lake but we were on site 15 so we had no dirt to place tents. We fixed it and wasn’t as bad as we thought. I like the distance from other sites so it felt intimate. The restrooms were poorly kept though, really wish they were cleaner.

This was a disappointing stay. The campground was full of litter everywhere you looked and dumpsters were overflowing. There are no bear boxes to store coolers, yet Bass Lake is obviously inhabited by bears. The people who camped next to us partied until 3am. There’s a clear failure to communicate campground guidelines regarding quiet hours, not washing dishes at water spigots, how to store food, etc and the main issue is that there’s a tremendous lack of signage in Spanish for the Latino community that uses this and other surrounding campgrounds. The lakeshore was also full of litter as there aren’t enough trash or recycling cans nor signage to insist visitors pack their trash and take it with them. I won’t visit again nor would I recommend visiting to family or friends.

This campground was perfect. We were close to the bathrooms and the lake! Our site was a good size and felt private! Can’t wait to come again.

Large site and walking distance to the shore of the lake. Single sites are really tiny and close. Double sites are acceptable, but double the price and NO amenities or hookups. Not even a bear locker.
Bathrooms are shared between loops- so it’s not super close. Dumpsters were overflowing and definitely not bear secured.
