The campsite itself while a bit narrow was clean, well-maintained and had everything we need and the camp post was very nice. The neighbors had a pitbull that was off a leash and it charged a woman who was walking by. It was also a fair amount of partying going on. You could hear a lot of boat traffic with loud music and etc. from Base Lake and this campsite backs up onto a road, although the road noise was minimal. For some reason, someone decided to carry out firearms training until 1 o’clock in the morning somewhere in the vicinity, we heard semi automatic gunfire for hours after dark so they really weren’t any quiet hours. The chief knock on this campsite. Is that all the best lake noise can be heard from it although it’s access to goat Mountain Trail and Bass Lake facilities is incredibly convenient.

We booked a site that stated it was an RV site, but we arrived to find it was a tent site. The staff quickly fixed the issue and moved us to a much nicer spot. It was very beautiful and quiet. We will definitely return.

Grew up camping at The Forks Campground Bass Lake and now continuing the fun with my own kids and grandkids, our spot could have used a little more shade but it was ready for our arrival and clean, the bear food boxes are a big plus this year! The host is always friendly and bathrooms extremely clean for campground bathrooms.

I have camped at Bass Lake my entire life with my family. This year we stayed at The Forks campground, and it was amazing. We had the best sites, with lots of shade and the camp host Steve was our favorite host we have ever had. Considering we went the day after the 4th of July; the lake was cleaned up pretty good. We did help a bit at the water. Always leave it cleaner than when you got there. We will see you next year Bass!

Clean restrooms, the only reason I’m not giving 1 star. With all the possibilities of intense harm, your host carries 1 SMALL, BASIC first aid kit, no actual emergency equipment in case of an actual emergency. The incredible amount of rocks and chopped tree stumps led to the inevitable collapse of one of my children, leading to a deep wound in his chin. Your host said “duck tape works good” before returning back to his phone.
Later that same night, we were harassed by what staff calls a “sweet bear”. I realized that it was most likely due to the fact that staff left the trash cans overflowing and unlocked all night. There was so many overlooked things at this location, but the staffs interest in guest safety is the biggest issue of mine. I hope they take more consideration for their future guests.

Camp host Steve was fantastic. Campsite & restrooms were clean. Steve made several rounds around the campgrounds never bothering us unless we flagged him down. It was nice knowing he was so available if he was needed. He helped with our site when we were unhappy with the location, we didn’t realize we would be parked on the main road. Julie at camp office was also wonderful in helping us relocate to another available site. We loved our experience

Campground host, Steve is very friendly and helpful. Active black bear in the area. But no issues to report. Will be back soon!
