Beautiful, quiet. Great location. Swimming in the lake. Welcoming and friendly host. Bass Lake is well worth staying a few days at and around to get some of the benefits of Yosemite and more, but without the crowds.

Enjoyed our mountain camping at the Forks campground. We were surrounded by the beautiful nature. The pine trees, oaks, manzanitas and view of the beautiful Bass Lake from our campsite #25. The campgrounds are Meticulously
Maintained by Joan and Clay the friendly hosts. The bathrooms were always stocked with toilet paper and the sink, toilet, trash and floors surprisingly clean. Also registration was simple, just walked down to host’s campsite to receive our slip and parking pass. They offered local firewood for $8 purchase, as to avoid bringing outside bark beetle wood to harm these local trees.
The campground is walking distance to the Forks Resort with their famous Burgers and even offered a veggie burger too. The market was full of needed camping supplies if you forgot anything and of course plenty of souvenir choices too.
Forks is also just steps away from Bass Lake for boating, fishing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and just lounging on a lake raft or inner tube.
The friendly ducks loved saying hello to us while we visited the lake.
Very relaxing this time of year it wasn’t crowded.
Yosemite is only a 15 mile drive from Bass Lake area.
Great family times and memories were had by all.
We definitely will return to Forks Campground again.

We stayed in campsite 19. The spot was very private and week kept. There are Yellowjackets that come out when cooking so be prepared. The camp hosts were extremely friendly.

It was fine. Good distance between campgrounds so you can feel private. Clean toilets. However, no sinks for doing dishes.

When we got to our site, we discovered there were absolutely no trees for shade... but our camp host made the transfer to a better site very easy! The restrooms were cleaned and supplied daily. We swam in the lake, our boys fished. We hiked nearby and spent time visiting Yosemite. Our family thoroughly enjoyed camping here!
