Our campsite was great and the lake was beautiful. Only thing I would change is going on a warmer time or preparing better for the cold, it was freezing!! The guy that checked us in was nice and the people around were welcoming. Lots of warnings about bears and how to protect your food so be prepared because you might encounter a bear, but people said they're friendly. I didn't personally encounter one. Bathrooms are clean and have the essentials; toilet paper, running water, and hand soap (good quality too!) The recreation center was about 15 minutes away but the drive was fun and beautiful. There you'll see a bougie restaurant, a market, kayaking, coffee shop, and a couple other restaurants and shops. Everything was amazing just plan your trip right and be prepared.

The campground and surrounding lake area are beautiful. The problem with many of the campsites is that the driveway’s are on the wrong side of the campsite. All or most trailers have doors that open on the passenger. These campsites require backing into the site which puts our trailer door facing into the campsite Nextdoor.

Bring earplugs! I thought since we went towards the end of the season, the site would be pretty sparsely populated but we ended up next to a total party site that blasted EDM well into the evening. Apart from that, the nature was beautiful! If you're into bird-watching, you can see grackles, quails, hawks and jays (just to name a few) around the area in the morning. Short and pretty drive up north to the part of the national forest where the sequoias are. Even though some areas were closed off when we went, we still experienced quite a bit of the unique locales available in the area. The Forks Resort is also a very convenient place to stock up on supplies and grab a bite to eat after a hike.

We had an amazing time! Even though there was a nearby chaotic campsite. the issue was addressed and taken care of from the camp host.

This is the way a site like this should be run. We were greeted by the camp host upon entry and all accommodations were made for us immediately. Our campsite was marked with a little re-useable license plate that had our name and the time we would be staying clearly written out. We enjoyed camping here and would highly recommend it to all campers.

We come here twice a year, but our last visit was not the best experience. Campsite 109 had more than the allowed amount of people and they did not respect quiet hours AT ALL. There was no camp-host or security monitoring the sites and we did not feel safe approaching them to keep the music down or stop yelling, shouting and laughing at 4 am every morning. Avoid booking sites near end of season unless you’re THAT group who doesn't care or respect other campers.
