We love Lupine, and the camp host are wonderful.

We had site 72 , great view of the lake jus a lil close to other camp site next to us , other than that it’s a nice area close to lake

Great time

Campsite 093 was a little more secluded than the other sites, so it was relatively quieter and more private. It had wonderful morning light coming right into our campsite, but it did warm up quickly, I'm afraid. I'd recommend a canopy tent for shade in the morning and day if you're hanging out. The afternoon light though was great: perfect for naps.

The downside of this particular campground is that because you're a little more removed, you're farther from the car, which we used to put all of our food away at night, so you do have to trek some things back and forth. Other campers were not putting their food away though, sooo... It'd be great if SNF installed some bear lockers of some kind. Or at least pave in the section of the path that leads up to this particular campground site. There's definitely space on the side of the road where a car could be parked. You pave just the slightest space or build some kind of bear locker and this spot is awesome.

Be careful not to miss the ranger station when you head into Bass Lake. It's easy to miss. Bundles of firewood were available for $8 a bundle from the camp hosts, who were very polite. I think we used 3 over 2 nights. Try to bring exact change!

The nearby Willow Creek/Angel Falls trail is great! Would recommend. Just be careful and don't be that group of kids without masks, playing music from speakers, and then slipping on the rocks and into the pools (we were warned that people do drown in these pools). Bass Lake can be pretty busy but it was nice after a long hot hike. Have fun.

We stayed at two seperate campsites so we could drive in to Yosemite easily. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a beautiful lake (Lake Bass) right at our camping area. The lake was quite busy along with the campground. But overall it was a nice place to stay. I would recommend bring your own pop up tent shower/toilet as the bathrooms my husband said were unisex and disgusting. No Showers which we knew ahead of time. There was also a mama bear and 3 cubs running around and the rangers said were quite mischievous. But to be expected in the great outdoors. A plus about this campground is that since it is by a lake there are plenty of places to eat within 5-10 minutes. Some walking distance (about 15-20). There is a few ice cream places, one right up from Lupine Campgrounds with Sundaes, frosties, cones etc (they also have burgers/fries etc). Across from the lake is a Mexican Restaurant, a cute restaurant on the lake near boat dock area with tiki style tables and live music, drinks and other restaurants, stores etc... You can even rent a boat or jet skies. We went during covid and not to many people wore masks at the lake dining/store areas which worried me. But in Yosemite people did at the dining areas, but trails you were able to enjoy without them as barely anyone around. We brought ours on trails and put on out of respect and safety if we would have to pass by others. But honestly there were only maybe 5-20 people at the most close by at a given time on the trails. While in Yosemite we rented bikes there for the first time at $25 for a half day and we had so much fun! Let us forget for a few days that we were in the middle of a pandemic. Overall if you need a campsite to stay in to enjoy Yosemite, or even Bass lake I definitely recommend this one, but again bring your own pop up shower tent/toilet! You can find them on Amazon, under $100. Enjoy the beautiful pine air and starry nights!

This is a great site, a short walk from the water. It would make a great combo with Site 68. Bring your own shade.

The location and campsite are great but the camp hosts did not properly check-in guests or assist when we were unable to locate our site.
Sites were not clearly marked (tables had the numbers written on with sharpies) and when an E Coli outbreak occurred with their water supply they had absolutely no water available to help out with essential drinking supplies.

Campground was great. Wood is available on site with the host at $8. Incredibly full! Many camp sites looked like they where overflowing with tents, way more than the allowed capacity. Noise wasn't too bad expect for some RV generator buzz and someones car alarm going off one night. Bathrooms are clean and stocked with TP. Site 80 had some shade, but not much over the picnic table (bring an ez-up), is very close to the neighbors would be an issue for more than 1 tent. Host where nice, seemed on the older side, they drove around in golf carts checking passes. Perfectly close to Bass Lake and had a lot of great things to do in and around the local town.

First time here with boyfriend, brother and our dog tony. We all love it specially our dog. Restaurant, boat rentals and other rentals are accessible within minutes. Campsite very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is clean and the host are very welcoming and nice. Will go again.
