Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the restrooms and the helpfulness of the camp hosts, enhancing their overall experience. However, noise from other campers and the absence of showers were common concerns, as well as occasional issues with trash left at sites. Overall, the campground is recommended for its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere, especially for birdwatchers and families seeking a peaceful getaway.

This is a great location, right across from the lake and about 15 miles from Yosemite gate. The bad is the sites are all right on top of each other. Our first nite the people in the site next to us came in at 11pm and raised hell until 1am. Talked to campground host and manager next morning, the manager was great and talked to the people but then they were asses to us all that day and night. Also we have not camped here before, so we went straight to our site, to have the campground host come Harass us about checking in at the ranger office. I had prepaid months ahead for the site and thought we just go to the site, but the host followed us into the site and before we even shut our bikes off got on us about going back to ranger station. Could have been a little calmer and relax about delivering the message. I will say the bathrooms are very clean and nice.
