Overall, the camp site was clean and well stocked. The rangers were friendly and gave us some good directions on where to see nearby waterfalls. The camp site is relatively cheap and a short walk to Bass lake. The one downside is that the sites are very close to one another, a little bit more privacy would be nice.

It was a fun and relaxing camping trip. Host was friendly. Only regret, if we would have allowed camp fire, but precaution is better than cure.

Site 85: My boyfriend and I took his dog for our first 4 day camping trip to this spot because Yosemite is booked two months in advanced, and man was this a hidden gem. STUNNING views of the transitioning autumn trees surrounding the lake and the most deer and birds I’ve ever seen. Spectacular even at night when all the bugs come out to sing. His dog had an absolute blast too! We had a few neighbors but everyone stayed really quiet and to themselves. Bathrooms were close no matter where we were and honestly really nice and tidy! There was also an incredibly convenient path made by previous hikers from our site directly to the lake! Verizon had full service the whole time as well!
The only weird thing was that we arrived unexpectedly after sun down and couldn’t find where to check in and no one ever checked in on us on our whole trip. We weren’t stressing because we had our reservation saved. Just keep that in mind I guess!
10/10, will definitely come back with friends!

We stayed at camp site 72 and it was great! We were able to see the lake from our camp site. The lake was just a couple minutes away from us. Unfortunately we weren't able to have a fire due to current restrictions but we still had a good time. We saw some deer roaming around the lake and around our camp ground. The restrooms were clean and in good condition. The camp hosts were nice and helpful.

Conveniently located very close to the lake, it was a pretty cool campsite. Camp hosts were very nice and helpful, but there was nothing in my emails nor instructions that I needed to check in at a completely different location before getting to the campsite. However, it looked like none of my camp neighbors had checked in, so I'm not sure if it's necessary to do so.
When I went to go buy firewood, I was warned by the camp hosts to keep the fire small, but I never really was sure what counts as a small fire and it didn't seem like my other camp neighbors cared. We were also warned that there was a mother bear and three cubs that have been actively roaming around the campsites everyday so we were vigilant in keeping our campsite clean and free of food. But if bears are so active in the area, I think bear boxes should be installed.
Otherwise, very peaceful campsite that is conveniently located near the lake and not too far from other attractions. We enjoyed hiking to Angel Falls and swimming at the lake. I really hope that bear boxes get installed if bears continue to roam around the campgrounds.

Camp grounds were good. The roads are terrible. I have been coming to the lake since I was 10, I'm 74 now and have never seen them like this.
