What Guests Are Saying

Lupine campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting in the forest with stunning day and night skies, plus frequent wildlife sightings, including deer and various birds. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While some issues with noise from neighbors and bathroom cleanliness were noted, many campers still had a wonderful time and expressed a desire to return.

Great location. Some campers were a little loud. And, no bear boxes are provided — a real inconvenience, especially since the camp host went around telling everyone there were bears sniffing around. Not a great swimming lake. Lots of boats and murky water.

Great camp hostess, good facilities, some noise from all of the power boats, some slope on the tent site but not a problem.

Excellent campground really enjoyed our stay. Campground was clean and cared for. Reports of bears in the area, no bear boxes. No tmobile cell service.

Loved it! Great spot after a day in Yosemite.

However, the quiet hours, if any, are NOT enforced. There was a campsite up past midnight making all kinds of noise and they kept waking me up.

Lupine had a lovely location right off of Bass Lake. The facilities were not great, however, only offering a toilet and potable water. The bathrooms did not contain any soap for hand-washing or a utility sink for washing dishes, which several camps in the area (and at the same price point) did. Campsites were fairly close together with little privacy but clean (despite a fellow camper letting their dog use our site for the bathroom and not cleaning it up) but ultimately fell short of being worth the price point. Perhaps if we were planning on utilizing the lake and not just passing through we'd think differently.

Nice campground for tents. Our site was large with some shade all day. Well maintained bathrooms. A bear (not much larger than a big dog) approached our table in the middle of the day even with us not far away. He left after we banged some pots (which we had at the ready at the suggestion of the camp hosts). Also saw deer, baby quail, and a pretty bird that drank out of our dogs water bowl. Would stay here again for sure.
