The area was well kept. Larry was kind, compassionate and friendly. He took care of us and the area as it it was his own property and family.

I’m so glad I reserved at recreation point for a family gathering. Everyone had a great time. Lake was high and everyone swam and barbecued. Will definitely reserve here again. Park ranger was so nice and accommodating us with parking lot.

This location served its purpose for a large family gathering. Very close to the water for swimming, and open area for setting up horseshoe pits. Sand volleyball court right there. But for the stuff reservation fee ($135) and $10 dollars parking fee per vehicle, I expected the picnic tables to be in better shape and the grill, too. One bench on one of the tables (total of four) was rotted through and broken in two! The "ballfield" was totally overgrown . So not sure where the money is going . I think whoever oversees these spot can do better.

- No RV parking allowed; autos only
- A parking fee for each vehicle in the day use area will be collected.
- Limit 2 pets per site on a six foot leash.
- Your reservation of a picnic site, or campsite, does not guarantee or include a exclusive use of any beach area/ or shoreline along the lake.
- Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Sierra National Forest Headquarters, (559) 297-0706.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
