What Guests Are Saying

Spring Cove Campground offers a beautiful, secluded setting with easy access to Bass Lake, making it a popular choice for families and groups. Visitors appreciated the friendly and helpful camp host, clean facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, particularly at more remote sites. However, some guests expressed disappointment over the availability and cleanliness of porta potties due to plumbing issues, and the campground's noise level can vary, especially during busy holiday weekends.

Awesome. Big camp site, fit 2 medium tents and 1 large tent. Large enough to fit a SUV and mini van parking. Close to restroom and lake

Had a wonderful stay and the camp host, Patrick, was amazing for us first-timers to the lake. He helped us check in to the site because it wasnt super clear where to do that (its quite a drive to the store listed on the reservation). He brought us firewood a few times when asked and kept the bathrooms super clean. The only thing that wasn't great about our trip was that the trash dumpsters were overflowing, which brought a bear near to the campsite. Did NPS lose funding for trash services? it seemed as if they hadnt been emptied for weeks.
There are no showers in the campground but the marina is a two minute drive and their shower facilities are nice and clean. Buy Tokens at the marina store $5 for 5 minutes.

As always, we had a great time at the Spring Grove campground. It's an easy walk to the lake with lots of beach area to sit and enjoy. The campsites were clean when we arrived and the bathrooms were kept very clean the entire week, we were there. My only complaint was that the lights in the bathrooms were not working at night. The area around the bathrooms and inside the bathrooms was very dark so make sure you bring a flashlight.

A good campground, with easy access to the entire Bass Lake area. It's a touristy resort area, but not far from excellent hiking trails to waterfalls and mountain views. Bathrooms have running water, but like many National Forest/Park locations, they're understaffed and short on maintenance. Things aren't always getting cleaned and repaired when they should. The camp host was sympathetic, but had no control over the problem. But the area is so great, these are just minor quibbles, and will probably be corrected eventually.

Perhaps my expectations were misaligned with reality. I was hoping for a nice quiet night of camping and enjoying the outdoors. But this place was full of RV's and party goers. There was heavy drinking by multiple groups and music playing loudly throughout the campground until at least 4AM. Probably one of the worst camping experiences I've ever had.
But the grounds were clean and the management staff that was there onsite was helpful and nice during the day.
