What Guests Are Saying
Wishon Bass Lake offers a lovely campground experience with great weather, private and spacious sites, and excellent access to Miller's Landing for boat rentals and amenities. Many campers appreciate the friendly and helpful camp host, who enhances their stay. However, there are notable concerns regarding the cleanliness and functionality of restrooms, as many experienced issues with portable toilets and locked facilities, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit.

Wishon Pointe is a nice to place to camp but there isn't any showers near the campsites. The first day/night we were there, bathrooms weren't open, only porta potties were available because of water pressure. I am not sure how often those are cleaned. But the first day, we were there, they were pretty nasty. There was no soap available in their dispensers at the sinks near them. Things happen, but just be aware. I would come back, but I would definitely come prepared.

Camp site 11, sunny double site, a couple of shady spots for tent set up. Nice and close to Miller's landing and lake. Loved it

Campsite 21 is a double campsite with two picnic tables and one bear box. While parts of the site are sloped, there was still plenty of flat space for several tents, making it a good option for larger groups.
The campsite is located right next to a restroom and a water spigot, which is convenient, but it also means you’ll notice a fair amount of foot traffic throughout the day.
The parking space for the site is large enough to fit about four cars comfortably. However, only two cars are included with the reservation. The campground host told us that each additional vehicle costs $10 per night. Unfortunately, this conflicted with the information we were given by the Bass Lake office before our trip, which created some confusion.

Camp host was amazing as well as the site. But the bathroom situation was awful. Only porta potties in the 10 days we were there they were cleaned twice that included 2 weekends.

We went on a Sunday to Tuesday. It was nice. Our campsite was next to the bathroom and water station which made it very convenient. Thankfully it did not smell. Site 006 did smell as we walked past it. It’s about 5 mins walk to miller’s landing resort that has public showers 5 dollars for 5 mins. You can rent jet skis/ boats/paddle boards and so forth. Not sure about the price as we didn’t do it. We did drive 3 mins to an area to swim. It was a lot of fun. We got to see a deer and her dawn pretty close a few times. The hosts were great and informative when we told them it was our first time renting a spot there. You can just drive up to your site and set up, the host will drive around in their golf cart to check you in. Unfortunately I did experience some racism (me being of Asian descent) while walking to miller’s landing on the first day after we set up camp so that made me felt very uncomfortable to go where there were crowds.

We stayed at 002; the good- amazing view of the lake, campsite feels private. It's a double site, we had plenty of space for 3 cars & 3 tents. There's a little path from the campsite to cross the street and get to the beach down below, which was amazing with kids. You can walk through the campground to get to Miller's- where there's public bathrooms, coin operated showers, and the store/restaurant which is great to refill you with whatever you may need(ice, ice cream, water, snacks, etc). Camp host was very nice, other campers were nice and respectful.
The cons- the path onto the street from the campsite was nerve- wracking with a toddler who likes to run. The campground had porta potties, we weren't aware of that until we got there, and then received notification via email that the water pressure on the South side of the lake(including our campground), was effected. This campsite is sloped, but many sites in the campground are slanted, and it's just how the lay of the land is.

The location and camping spots are ideal but for this particular trip the restroom were inoperable and portable restrooms (porta-poties) were used. They were in a very grotesque condition and seemingly never cleaned. We had to drive to Miller's summit to use the restrooms.

In our first time experience, I will say that Miss Connie was very nice and attended to her guest, but the only complaint that I would say is just the bathroom situation but overall our stay was great!
