What Guests Are Saying
Plaskett Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting just a short walk from Sand Dollar Beach, making it a great spot for camping. Many visitors praised the friendly camp hosts and the spacious, scenic environment, ideal for families and pets. However, the campground faces criticism due to the lack of potable water and restroom facilities, with porta potties being the only option, which some found unsatisfactory.

What an amazing little gem in an already beautiful place! We are cyclists and like to ride gravel so this was right ON the “Lost Roads of Big Sur” gravel route! It was awesome. Clean and quiet! If you have a small campervan - site 10 is the best.

The beach is small and not dog-friendly. The folks working there didn't know of other dog-friendly trails.

The campground host was so helpful, accommodating and present. The grounds & facilities were clean, spacious and so dark and quiet at night that it was one of our best star viewing stays. A short walk on paths to the ocean cliffs across the road allowed for viewing of sea otters at Jade Cove, Pelicans from Mill Creek to Sand Dollar Beach and whale watching everywhere. A short walk and path with stairs down to Sand Dollar Beach gives you a beautiful stretch of beach and waves crashing against rocks & churning blue around them. Sunset views are good from anywhere with an incredible view from the Forest Service Road just above the campground. I stayed late in February.

Beautiful spot, wind protected and right across the street from the amazing Sand Dollar beach. Wonderful host couple that really take great care of the campground. Big Sur is just magical.

Wonderful area. The campground was quiet and peaceful. The camp host was so attentive and kept the grounds looking great. Bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. The trash was emptied frequently. This camp host was on it!
The area is amazing. Lots of nice hikes. A wonderful short hike to the cliffs to watch the sunset over the ocean
