What Guests Are Saying

Plaskett Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting just a short walk from Sand Dollar Beach, making it a great spot for camping. Many visitors praised the friendly camp hosts and the spacious, scenic environment, ideal for families and pets. However, the campground faces criticism due to the lack of potable water and restroom facilities, with porta potties being the only option, which some found unsatisfactory.

This was the best camp trip I have ever been on. Thanks to Punkie & Michael, the best hosts ever. Chris

Great campground, about a 5 minute walk from the beach. Most of the campsites are in a large central meadow area, where there are no bushes and few trees to separate the individual sites, so there is a bit of a lack of privacy, but the sites are plenty big, and the remaining campsites around the perimeter of the meadow are shaded and a little more secluded. The camp hosts were extremely friendly, helpful, and hard working. The bathrooms were constantly cleaned, and the whole campground was immaculate. The hosts charged a bit more for firewood than I expected, but I didn’t mind paying for it since they clearly worked so hard and it was good to support them. The campground was dog friendly and children friendly, but wasn’t primarily a family camp. Most people camping were younger active people- lots of wetsuits hanging up on clotheslines at the end of the day, and surfboards and kayaks on most vehicles. Also, less trailers and campers, the younger crowd mainly slept in tents. Also, I think because it was more of an active crowd, people seemed to get up early and go to bed early- we didn’t experience a lot of noise from late-night revelers.

No showers, but there are flush toilets and water spigots.

Has it been a decade since the bathrooms had a working sink and soap at Plaskett?

A full campground, but that’s to be expected here. Easy in and out. Fire pit and grill stand worked perfectly.

I stayed at Plaskett Creek from May 15 through May 19 in an A frame style tent with plenty of blankets, large area with a fire ring, picnic bench and a few trees plenty of shade. No showers in this camp but made due with boiling water and a bucket, bathrooms are flushing toilets and kept clean, No phone service but for me it was a plus. There are a few trails that lead down to the beach some off the beaten path. Beautiful Sunsets and on a clear sky plenty of stars. Camp host has plenty of firewood and some essential supplies i.e toothpaste and soap. I’ve stayed in many campsites and this one by far was the most enjoyable I always stay in a tent so plan accordingly.
