Sites were very nice and separated. Only complaint is that the bathrooms did not have hand dryers and with Covid 19 all bathrooms should have soap and a hand dryer.

There is an aggressive black bear that constantly visits this campground. The Camp Hosts are great, the problem has been reported but nothing is being done. I emailed California state park and didn't even get a reply. Us and other campers slept in our cars for safety, everyone was worried, this bear is not at all afraid of people. I had to drive the car in-between it and my partner when it looked like it would attack, it was about 6ft away. I will not visit this campground again

We stayed at Four Jeffrey campground for a week in August, 2021. We stay at this campground almost every year and felt the need to give a review this year. The camp hosts, Don and Betty were wonderful! They took meticulous care of the bathrooms and made regular rounds to make sure everyone was safe. There were bears in the area and they made sure we all knew the rules to keep our campsites safe ( use bear lockers, no food items or toiletries in tents, dispose of trash, etc). Then when there were bears active in the campgrounds, they were there with air horns if needed to keep both campers and bears safe. We really appreciate all they did and their friendly attitudes.
