-Our entire family (20 of us and 8 dogs!) loved our stay at Lake Davis, Grasshopper Flat Campground. We reserved the group site for 2 days and then 4 of us moved over to 2 regular campsites for another 5 days. Most of the family members are going to book future reservations for this site, as they fell in love with it. My husband and I have already booked ours! We are going to book the group site every year for our family reunion.
-The camp manager and both camp hosts were fabulous and really helped us with so many questions and campsite issues. They all need a raise! I could go on and on about them, so I hope they know how much we truly appreciated them and their kindness!
-One suggestion, each campsite needs a bear locker for the food. We have locking ice chests, but the bears seemed to love one of the ice chests and we have bite marks to prove it! Plus, the bears put a huge scratch on our utility trailer, but hey, it adds character-ha!
-We all truly appreciated how clean each campsite was, plus the cleanliness of the showers and bathrooms; the only complaint is that one of the main bathrooms was closed due to a pipe issue...there was a waiting line most of the time for the 2 restrooms that were working.
-You'll read other reviews that talk about the bugs. Yes, there are bugs, but you're in the forest near the water...there's going to be bugs. Keeping a fire burning in the pit will help with this issue. Just make sure you don't leave it unattended.
-Cell service is spotty, but we just found the good spots and did our calls, texts, e-mails.
-Make sure you bring your camera to take pictures of the eagles, the pelicans, the birds, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
-Enjoy your stay!

Some inconsiderate chose to run their generator into the night. Fortunately they shut it down at about 10 or 11pm I think. Geeze people should stay at home if they need that much confort!

The website can be difficult at times. Once I figured it out it works great. I have to say the camp hosted at Grasshopper Flat are the best. They are super friendly and informative. I find it amazing that they can deal with some of the idiots in such a diplomatic way. I would not have their patience. Someone is always bending the rules and they are quick to β educate β them. Kudos to them.
