The prices have gone up. We camp here often and love the lake, but all the extra fees are getting out of hand. $10 to launch. $8 extra car fee, per night, $15 RV dump.
We had to pay $8 a night for a 2nd car even though there were only 3 of us and we didn't use the restroom or potable water because we are self contained. The site beside us had many many people in and out, different people each day. But no extra vehicle fee for them because they only had 2 vehicles at a time. Seems odd.

Host on power trip . Arrived at pre-paid site, another name was assigned to our site. Female hose said they were problems with the computer we can go to any campsite that doesn’t have a reserved sign, we found another site set up camp but when her husband George (host) came around he made us Break up our camp and go back to original site or we had to pay another $90 . We already paid, already set up camp at new Site that was not reserved for our entire stay , very unreasonable to make us move . If You don’t have to deal with those two the camp ground was very nice.

wild flowers in July and great trails from our spacious camp site. Lake Davis was still cool from the winter run off we bike and hike. Will return in years to come.

From Reno, travel north on Highway 395 to Highway 70 and turn west to Portola. From Portola, take County Road 126 north for 7 miles, then County Road 112 to the east side of Lake Davis. Continue approximately 1 mile to the campground, which is on the left.
Grizzly Campground is accessible via Highway 395, approximately 15 miles to the east, and Highway 70, which connects to Portola.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in is at 2:00 PM, and check-out is at noon.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Vehicles & parking
- Campsites can accommodate 2 vehicles, with the first included in the site fee and a fee for the second vehicle collected onsite.
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited on facility roads, and violations may result in citations.
Site types & loops
- Certain sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wildlife & food storage
- Be aware of bear safety before arriving, as black bears frequent the area and food lockers are not available.
Safety & rules
- Strong winds can create hazardous conditions on the lake for small craft.
Utilities
- Water skiing and jet skiing are prohibited on the lake.
