What Guests Are Saying

Spring Creek offers beautiful lakeside campsites with easy kayak access and great views, making it an enjoyable experience for families and groups. Many reviews highlight the cleanliness of facilities and the helpfulness of the camp host, Chuck. However, some campers noted issues with specific sites, odors near bathrooms, and the use of gas leaf blowers, which could detract from the natural ambiance.

Site 22 has some serious downsides. Please note the "Shade: Full" for that site is a complete lie. There's barely any shade there between 9AM until 7:30PM in July. There might have been more before, but it's been a while since the fire that went through the campground and around so an update to the site description is due. The 2 vehicles are indeed able to fit on the parking pad, the second vehicle costs additional $8 a night though. The rate is nowhere to be found outside of camping (it is posted at the entrance though). Site 22 is also lacking flat spots suitable for more/bigger tents (and it's "rated" for 8 people). There's one that can barely fit a 6-people right next to parking pad, but that's about it. Even the table/fire area has a slight slope to it. There's also a pump building about 70ft from the campsite that is loud when running. If it's running late in the evening - go to the host to stop it.

On the upside - the toilets are cleaned and resupplied daily, the water faucet is close and the lake is 3 minutes downhill. Even though your neighbors seem to be close we never heard anyone.

I have to commend the campground host(s) at Spring Creek Campground! We stayed there the Monday after July 4th Weekend. One would expect the place would’ve been a mess, due to the extremely high volume of campers and their respective vehicles packed in the campground like sardines. I only say this because that’s what we heard from campers that stayed there over the Independence Day Weekend. However, the campground and proximity around the area we’re absolutely spotless. The restroom facilities were clean and aromatically fresh. Our name was on signage stating the site was reserved and it was nice that this was all done in advance of the reservation.

There is evidence of the fire in the area, but the campground is still pretty. We were in the second loop and a generator that provides water pressure for the campground ran most of our second day there and all night until someone turned it off the next morning.

The camp host kept the camp ground very clean, the bathroom is cleaned all the time.
We could walk down to the lake and launch our inflatable boat.
There is no shower, according to the website, you could pick the wood for firewood, so it was nice.
Will come back.
