What Guests Are Saying
The campground host, Chris, received high praise for his excellent preparation of the campsites and assistance with RV issues. The location is ideal for a group of veterans and first responders, offering peaceful surroundings, individual tent sites, and easy access to trails. However, there were concerns about the cleanliness and quantity of toilet facilities, as well as a lack of bear boxes for the group.

The camp ground host Chris did a great job of preparing the campsites for the next people, the out houses were well stocked and clean. Chris was a huge help when we had trouble with our RV. He was terrific!!

With our group of 18 veterans and first responders, the site provided easy access, great individual campsites for tents, the peaceful sound of the running creek and easy access to other trails and activities.
While there was only one toilet, the campground host kept it clean and tidy. The site is separated from the second so there was little or no noise or distraction.

Spent a lot of money for this group site only to have a very unpleasant smell from the pit toilet in camp. Needs an additional toilet stall given the number of people at the group campsites and cleaned out more often, esp. before Labor Day, a big holiday. Not enough bear boxes for the group and we had trouble fending them off.

Great host. Clean restrooms. Quiet area. Adjacent to good hiking and beautiful views. While there is no water at this site, we knew that going in so it wasn’t a problem.

Absolutely gorgeous group campsite, right beside a nice small fishing creek. 2 bear bunkers at site that were a new style --- opening from the side so that all the contents were readily accessible. Vault toilet was immaculate with no odor and also had a stand with sanitizing liquid just outside it.
The disadvantages of this camp were no potable water, and an 11 mile gravel and rocky road to get there. Road is easily passible with a normal sedan in the daytime, but I would not travel it at night without a 4 wheel drive or pickup.
We knew of the water situation in advance and used a couple of large insulated containers (5 & 3 gal) and some large water jugs from the local stores to supply us quite easily.
