Great campsite. Great host.

The only thing I'd recommend is to maybe trim back the branches/foliage a little better along the main campground loops/roads for when RVs are driving through trying to get to their sites. Very tight in some spots.

Otherwise, an amazing stay.

1

Fishing poor to bad with people using the lake for other than fishing activities making fishing and casting very hard...small and crowded lake....very dusty roads with cars, atv, jeeps speeding thru campground with no control stirring up even more dust... should put chipped wood/much on entry exit road to help with dust. campers not observing quiet time with loud partying going on, and no campground host intervention. allot of cannabis smell coming from Host site which is probably why there was no crowd/noise control at night. inconsistent fire pit control. campsites not cleaned before arrived....large quantities of cigarettes left at sites

motorcycles, off road vehicles speeding through camp all day and night and the campground host did not call the sheriff as they are not allowed in camp...dust was out of control as a result and the noise was terrible. swimmers in lake that is intended for fishing, thus making fishing in such a small lake impossible. quiet times were not observed and enforced by campground host, and the supposedly quiet campground turned into a party. a significant amount of cannibis smell coming from camps, including host.

Great location, beautiful area, easy to find. Kimo, the host, was super friendly and helpful. All around, an amazing visit. Did not use facilities but they looked very clean (looked inside the restroom). Some sites are quite small so I would recommend reviewing the map before selecting a campsite if you are bringing an RV with you. Would visit this location again.

My wife and I camped here for 4 days beginning on Sept. 5th. Absolutely beautiful setting and the camp host, Kimo, did his very best to make the campground clean, safe and secure. Upon our arrival, he offered to relocate us to the best campsite I have ever had (since it was available).
We hiked up to 5 alpine lakes and I cannot wait to take my grown kids here to experience this "back country".
Thank you Kimo for sharing your expertise with us. 5 Stars!

Beautiful little getaway. How to deal with wildfire smoke unfortunately for a short while, but definitely returning here!
