What Guests Are Saying
Almond Tree RV Park is conveniently located off Hwy 99, with friendly staff and clean facilities, making it a suitable stop for travelers. The park features a nice pool and well-maintained laundry and bathroom areas. However, some visitors noted a decline in management quality and rising costs, particularly with new charges for electricity and limited on-site service hours, which could impact future stays.

The location was decent... maybe one of the better locations in Chico. Not very big, though, and the sites are a bit small/narrow so you're sitting right up under your neighbors windows when at your picnic table.
The price seemed reasonable at first, too, but this was the first park we've ever visited in more than 5 years of camping that charges you for electricity when staying for only ONE night! And they charged us $0.40/kw! So add another $11 to the price even without needing AC that night; I'd hate to see how much we would've been charged if it had been 90 degrees that weekend.
They also close up shop at 4PM on Saturday and there is nobody on site at all on Sunday--so much for service. And when we called to ask why they didn't have a receipt or confirmation on the door when we arrived at 4:45 so we knew which site we were in or why they charged us for electricity, every response was defensive and snippy--not customer service oriented at all. I think they are more concerned about (and used to dealing with) their storage customers than they are with their overnight guests.
I highly doubt we'll be back...

Park is very well taken care of. Spaces are nice and clean. Staff was super friendly. We stayed for 4 nights for a graduation. They do have bathrooms and showers there but we used our trailer so i can't comment on those other than if they are kept as well as outside then i am sure they are great. Highly recommend it. Would definitely stay here again next rime we are in town.

I am sad to see this park deteriorate since it was sold a little over a year ago. The park is now owned and managed by a company that specializes in the storage business but had to purchase the RV park as part of the sale. All the attention to detail, the hosts living onsite specifically for the RV park are gone, regular trips around to park, enforcing rules, keeping garage bins closed, keeping the grounds well groomed and bathrooms cleaned daily are a thing of the past. In addition, they now charge for electricity usage. Over graduation they tripled the cost to stay there. I don’t recall that happening before. They charge you for walking in and making a reservation in person. Preferring every reservation done by smartphone or computer.
I didn’t see but one club stay over. This place used to have clubs here weekly. This place is declining. Sorry to see it happen.

When we travel up north, we stay at Almond RV park to break up the hours of driving. The park is clean, the pool is just big enough to get in, cool off and splash around. Bathrooms are clean. Laundry room is clean and easy to use and staff has always been pleasant. We love going to lower Bidwell Park for a swim and to Sierra Nevada brewery for lunch. Everything‘s pretty close. Booking online and the self check-in are very convenient.

I only stayed for one night as I was heading back home. The park was easy to find right off hwy 99. They were very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay again and feel good about giving this positive review! Enjoy!
