Best campsite I have ever been in. Workers enforce rules. A lot of shade. A lot of trees. Stores within 6-10 min drive.

So well maintained! We loved that the site we got had zero visibility from the road. Truly felt like a private and primitive camping experience.

This was the cleanest most beautiful campsite ever. Drove across the country and so far this was the best. Loved the serenity, the cleanliness. All of it was GRAND.

My parents owned a cabin in Dogwood Canyon for many years. I used to hike up to the campground back then. It reminds me of the forest that surrounded our family cabin. Beautiful!

This is one of my favorite campgrounds and trip in May was another delight. Everything is well cared for and the staff is superb. I just enjoy being next to a tree, reading a book and sharing good times with friends.

Beautiful setting and friendly people!
A little bit pricey for a Federal Park. The campground has showers they are lukewarm at best. There is a dump station at the park but it costs $10 even for registered campers.

Dogwood is a wonderful campground. The sites are the best of the many campgrounds we have looked at. The restrooms are extremely clean every time of the day or night I might use them, and the workers are very friendly. I love the two trails that are right off the campground. We have camped at Dogwood six times in the last four years and are looking at the calendar to see when we can come back.

We had a great time at Dogwood Campground! It was our first time tent camping, and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. The campground is very clean, well-maintained, and has trails to explore. One thing we really loved was how spacious the campsites are. We walked around the campground and noticed that all of the sites were either very large or a comfortable size, giving everyone plenty of room and privacy.
Another huge plus for us was that it’s dog-friendly, so we were able to bring our little dog along for the adventure. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we knew this campground was something special—the staff and facilities are absolutely top-notch! We stayed at Site 34, and it is a massive, sprawling area with enough space to host a football team.
The layout is a camper’s dream, featuring four distinct areas to pitch your tents. Best of all? Tucked away in the trees at the back is a hidden, secret spot that feels like your own private wilderness oasis. Just keep in mind that all four areas have a slight incline, so you will want to position your bedding carefully.
Because you are nestled near the high school sports fields and the scenic Rim of the World Highway, the sounds of local practice games and passing traffic do drift into the site. However, the location balances rugged adventure with serious convenience. You are just steps away from two water faucets, community dumpsters, and a clean restroom building complete with running water and flushing toilets.
The real thrill of our trip was the incredible wildlife encounters! Throughout the night, we watched and listened to several magnificent black bears foraging near the dumpsters. It was an absolute rush, a phenomenal experience, and we are already booking our next getaway!
