We absolutely loved our stay at Dogwood Campground and would definitely come back! The camp hosts were all amazing—super friendly, welcoming, and fun to chat with throughout the weekend. They really helped create a positive atmosphere around the campground. Our campsite was mostly shaded, which made it perfect for relaxing. We spent the weekend lounging by the campfire, reading, and enjoying the slower pace. It was exactly the kind of camping trip we were hoping for.
During our stay, the flush toilets unfortunately broke down because someone apparently flushed a T-shirt (or something similar). People never cease to amaze me! Despite the unexpected issue, the camp hosts handled it incredibly well. They quickly had portable toilets brought in, complete with handwashing stations, and they were clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly odor-free. We also had the option of walking to the flush restrooms in the next loop. There was a line occasionally, but it was completely manageable and didn't impact our trip in any meaningful way.
One of the biggest reasons we chose Dogwood Campground was to escape the Fourth of July fireworks for our dog, and it worked out perfectly. It was a peaceful weekend, our dog was much more relaxed than he would have been at home, and we all had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Dogwood Campground—we'll absolutely be back!

This is a well managed campground. The sites are clean, and raked for fire safety. This one of our favorites!

I recommend this campsite because it has a lot to explore ,it has hiking trails and its places are very private perfect for children .I don't give it the 5 stars because there is no lake or streams ,if it wasn't the perfect place

Great campground. A lot of trees. The showers and bathrooms were much better than a lot of other campgrounds.

We have been camping at Dogwood for years. We love the privacy of the campsites, the friendly campsite staff and the clean facilities. We were in campsite Sing 38 this year. Plenty of shade and only steps to the bathrooms.
