From all my camping trips at Dogwood, this recent camping trip was my least favorite one. Booked adouble site, site#66, and had frequent campers from different sites come through my campsite. We even had children walk up from a different site, one below from ours, come to our campsite and when asked to please respect our campsite area/stop running around our tents, and respect our privacy they got angry, cursed at us in a different language, and at one point had one of the parents come up and try to confront us. We had someone come through our site at 2:30 AM to get water from the water spout that is right in the middle of the double site (not sure if the spout is for the whole loop, but it is very awkward to have it be right inside our camp area and have various people come to get water and stare at us as if we are the problem- need camp host to clarify if the water spout is shared as well as showing where our campsiteborder is), we also had loud neighbors past the quiet time, and lastly the closest restrooms being closed off and only having 2 working restrooms also added to the bad experience. Over all, it wasn't completely terrible as I was able to spend time with my family, but it wasn't as relaxing and comfortable as previous visits/stays. It was just disappointing to book a double site and pay extra for an area that seems private and have it turn out to be the total opposite. Trust me, I love coming out here, but this recent stay was not it.

Very nice spot on the top of the hill. Easy hike through the woods around the campground. Clean bathrooms. Campsites are nicely spaced. Hosts/rangers friendly.
