What Guests Are Saying
Dogwood campground is highly praised for its beautiful and peaceful setting, well-kept facilities, and friendly hosts. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and spacious campsites, making it ideal for families and first-time campers. While some sites may be uneven and noise from other campers can be an issue, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many planning to return.

This site is very secluded, surrounded by small pine trees, and there are steps and a small hill down to the site. The site is small; it may be enough for one tent. There are not enough big trees nearby for hammocks. Also, there is a 1 bar LTE signal but no internet signal. The good part about this site is no one can see you. We also noticed no yellowjacket at this site compared to others, but we were not sure because of the weather or the time we went.

Great weather, very little bugs, convenient access to clean restrooms, free hot showers, electricity (at some campsites), friendly staff, near the grocery store... all made for a wonderful trip. The campsites can be a little uneven, making it a little difficult to find a flat spot to put a tent on. We were a group of 15 (including 9 children) and stayed at site 87, 89, and 91, which worked out really well for our group.

Beautiful area, clean well kept sights, staff is helpful and friendly. They have tent sites and rv sites both with electric hook-ups. They have bathrooms with showers and water spigots near camp sites.

Extremely clean, all the employees were so friendly and helpful. The sites are spaced perfectly and individually private. I have already recommended this campground to several friends and family. I look forward to returning.

Bear boxes were updated, new ones are smaller than the previous ones.
Campsite/campground overall was great. Unfortunately, there were about 3 families in vans that allowed their kids to use all areas including empty campsites as a playground. They not only would be one full group site away from their parents, but their child would antagonize our dogs with a stick. I had to address them directly to ask them to stop. These kids were under the ages of 8 so they really should not have been left alone. They were not in their parents view from where we were. The also turned the bathroom into a game so o couldnβt get away from them even when using the toilet. Bathrooms are gross why they were able to hangout in there is beyond me.
I recommend if dogs are required to be on 6β lead at all times, children should stay in their designated campsite or with a parent.
I didnβt pay $120 to babysit.

The dogwoods are a little late this year but there were several areas to appreciate the beauty. The staff takes amazing attention to detail in the sites and campground as a whole and are beyond helpful and friendly.
Of course we couldn't miss a dinner at Creekside Bistro - Duck Fat Fries!!!

We love Dogwood! We have camped here more than a dozen times over the last 10 years, and love that the sites are spacious, facilities are always spotless, tons of trees and birds, close to the lake and even has an amazing hiking trail that you can access from the campground. Can't wait to come back !!

This is a beautiful, well maintained campground nestled among black oaks, ponderosa pines, incense cedar and fir trees. Spacing and privacy between sites is above average but does vary depending on each particular site. It really seems like this campground was built around the forest and natural landscaping
Things to be aware of: 1) Black bears and bobcats are in the area. There are bear boxes and use is encouraged for anything that you might store outside. 2) The sites are very unlevel. Some are extremely unlevel. Longer rigs may have a hard time with front to back leveling, so check the site details carefully. 3) Water spigots are scattered around. I suggest stopping at one you see beside the road.
We had decent verizon coverage and spotty tmobile coverage. Starlink at our site was passable enough for TV streaming, but I can see this not being the case with some of the other sites.
Things to check out: Arrowhead Village, Lake Gregory, Strawberry Peak Fire Lookout, and lots of hiking trails.
