My family of 14 & I had an amazing time. We thought it’d be cool up there compared to LA but it still gets very hot in the summer! Wish there were more trees for shade. The only reason I had to remove a star was because the campsite is on a slope, only few flatter spots. The holes everywhere are gopher holes. Watch out for the scorpions that come out night! We saw 9 total. Love the privacy of the campsite.

I reserved for my bday, my family and I had an amazing time!! The camp host is so accommodating and kind! We had sites 9 and 10 they felt private, very clean and close restrooms, next to water spout and super spacious. We’ll definitely be back!

We had site #18. It was a very hot weekend there and there is no shade on this site until later in the day, BUT you are well separated when you are at the fire ring and picnic table because they are downhill and away from the other sites, but parked very close to site #19 at the top. Luckily, we had very good neighbors on site #19, and the other site beside us (#17?), never used their fire ring, so we didn't see them in the evening, and felt like we had the place to ourselves!
The site has a slope where you put the tent. We have a very large tent, so that wasn't so good, but there was nowhere else to put it, since it's not a big site. Still, we enjoyed the privacy, and the view from this site....most of the sites at this campground have NO view, blocked by trees. I KNEW this because I had written this note in my camping book about good sites, from years ago when we drove around here and looked at it.
Later in the day the trees gave us shade so that was good. The campground itself is small, and the host was pleasant. If we went again, I would choose site #18 again. Overall we enjoyed it, but it's too bad it was SO hot (over 90!)....our 2 large dogs just slept in the shade!

Great campground, good spacing between sites, friendly hosts. Easy 10 minute drive to the main Arrowhead commercial area. Hiking path that leaves from near site 11.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
