The site itself was nice, and the restrooms were relatively clean. Snow Summit and all the hiking trails on it are within easy walking distance, as is the main street of Big Bear itself. The only issue was the insects; there were a lot of flies hiding in the tree bark and in the bathrooms, however the flies actually avoid touching people for the most part, so they aren't much of a nuisance other than when they burst out of trees in swarms as you walk by since the sound it makes is sudden and loud.

Stayed in camp #4 we had two large tents with enough room for the kids to play. Restrooms were kept clean.Host friendly offered to take our trash bag as he was passing by the last day! Will be coming back to this campground in the future.

Really great experience at Pineknot campground! Maybe stay away from spot 48 cause people are always walking through your camp to get to the bathroom.
The skylift was such a great time and really good lunch!

I have been coming to this campsite since I was a little girl. The bathrooms were not kept very clean. Also the grill was not clean. The guy was really nice though. Just needs to keep bathrooms cleaner mainly.

It was our first time staying at this campground and my husband and I enjoyed it. It is on the outskirts of town but removed enough to feel like we were far away. The campsites are evenly spaced and the bathrooms were clean and always stocked. No matter which spot you reserve you are sure to enjoy your time here!

Campground was full, but pretty quiet for the most part with young families with children. Beautiful area with lots of space between campsites.
