What Guests Are Saying
Panther Flat Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility, featuring hot coin showers, flushing toilets, and spacious campsites that provide good privacy. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and the beautiful natural surroundings, including access to the nearby Smith River and hiking trails. While it can get busy in the summer and occasional noise from other campers or road traffic is noted, many visitors still find it a pleasant and enjoyable camping experience overall.

Great campsite with access to the river for cooling off. A little bit of road noise, but camp was chill and quiet otherwise.

One of the prettiest views compared to other national parks in California. I loved how green everything was.

Nice campground, showers/bathrooms very clean and comfortable. Our site (32) was right next to the bathrooms so lots of traffic. We also happened to be there when a couple of really noisy groups were there, not the camps fault. Road noise from 199 was occasional but noticeable.

Love this place. I’ve been here twice now and both times it’s been wonderful. Even when it’s crowded it feels private and not too crazy, and there’s some beautiful trails that head down to the river with epic views. The flushing toilets are a huge plus and the bathrooms and showers in general were very clean.

The group next two us was loud, intoxicated and yelling throughout the evening and through the night. Profanity and disturbing shouts about missing kids, "I can't find my daughter", had much of the campers surrounding their camp up at 2:30am. Turns out the daughter was sleeping in a friend's tent at the camp site. So for the one night we stayed, it was far from restful or enjoyable.
