What Guests Are Saying
Panther Flat Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility, featuring hot coin showers, flushing toilets, and spacious campsites that provide good privacy. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and the beautiful natural surroundings, including access to the nearby Smith River and hiking trails. While it can get busy in the summer and occasional noise from other campers or road traffic is noted, many visitors still find it a pleasant and enjoyable camping experience overall.

Fantastic camp site, lots of space between the different lots with plenty of trees to give you some privacy. Bathrooms were clean, has coin operated showers though I didn't try them. Just enough cell service (Verizon) to be able to keep in touch with people though probably not enough to stream anything if you're looking to watch something in the evening. Mosquitos were not too bad (campsite is near a river) but I did douse myself in Picaridin so that's probably what kept me bite-free for the 3 nights I was there.

Nice campsites in the woods, near the river. The campsite was clean, but the picnic table was was covered in some greasy goo. We bring our own, so not a show stopper.
The bathroom was pretty awesome - hot water in the shower, and the whole thing was very clean.
Will stay there again.

One of the best campgrounds we have used. Sites are well spaced apart and the hot showers are very nice.

Our spot was spacious and quiet. 20 minutes away from the Grove of Titan trail. It’s close to the restroom. Free shower which is great. Also, the only camp spot I’ve been to that offers toilet seat covers.

This campground turned out to be an extremely unpleasant experience. The main complaints are noise, the campground is next to a major highway, so throughout the day it was very obnoxious even from the furthest campsite. At night it is not possible to sleep without earbuds because everyone is loud even after 10pm as well as the sound from big trucks passing by all night. The only way not to hear it is by spending time in the valley where the river is, which doesn't have any campsites..... The " campsite hosts" said " sorry we can't ask other campers to be quiet. We don't want to be a third party to tell anyone what to do or not to do, all we do is clean the toilets and inform people about nature." when we asked them to talk to some extremely loud campers (they used gas-run generators and felt personally attacked when we asked them to be quiet), also another atrocious experience from the gas generators was that the smoke pollution traveled all the way through the campsite..... It was truly disgusting, which completely ruined our stay. The campsite ground was also too rocky/ impenetrable to use tent stakes. If you want to go there use an RV like everyone else. This campsites is not for those wanting to experience nature and peace. It is for people who are passing through to spend one night at as they travel.
