What Guests Are Saying
Arroyo Seco Campground boasts a beautiful location ideal for birdwatching and hiking, with clean facilities and friendly hosts enhancing the experience. While the campground can get busy and noisy, especially on weekends, many guests appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and access to nature. However, larger RVs may find navigating the access roads challenging, and some facilities require maintenance, but overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and expressed a desire to return.

Always a great time here. Easy to access. It was great when we were able to park inside the camp circle, but it's not bad as there's also designated parking spots also. River hike is great. Go in the summer or early fall at the latest for the river hike. Vault toilets stink so I usually use the flushing toilets at the family sites just a short walk up to.

We stayed for a weekend in mid-October, the weather was great, and the campsite and river were not crowded. Started with a hike up the gorge road then spent the rest of the day on the day use river area. The bathrooms were in great shape.

Poor wayfinding signage in the campground, and sites had a lot of trash in them. Toilets werent maintained. Location is beautiful, disappointing its so poorly run and so expensive.

Great place to camp, there was only 2 other campers in the park, almost no bugs, lots of wildlife, deer, rabbits, squirrels, and a bunch of different kinds of birds. We had a great time and are definitely going back.

Restrooms and showers closed. Plumbing problems. Large dusty campsites. Quiet at night.

Good hospitality on behalf of the staff. I felt like their presence was just enough to feel safe and secure. The camp sites are beautiful and it’s nice to see so many families enjoying this gorgeous gem of an area. A little over 2 miles from the camp site is the gorge - absolutely gorgeous clear crisp water that you can jump and sunbathe in.

We had the entire campground to ourselves! Very clean except for the bathroom facilities…we had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at Campground for a long weekend, and overall it was a great experience. The campground is set in a beautiful forested area with plenty of shade, and it’s close to several hiking trails and a small lake.

Pretty busy/noisy camp area (to be expected on a weekend) but site 29 was nice because it’s at the very edge and is very spacious with good tree shade. I don’t know why it’s called a “walk-up” site because it most definitely has a parking spot. Very easy walking distance to either the river day area or the main hiking trails. Several of the bathrooms/showers were out of order, and we didn’t know that the showers were coin-operated so that was a bit annoying. Red ants, yellow jackets and angry gnats were in full force (and a few mosquitos) so bring repellant. Several deer crossed through the site. The nearby primitive camp area is definitely quieter and more chill if you need that, but is a little further out from stuff distance-wise.
