...this place is wild! we were looking for a local place on short notice. We bargained for the out door tents and had a really nice time, over looking the Russian River. every thing was super clean and fresh. the staff was very nice and kept a really good privacy level. We slept very sound too! will go there again and I will recommend it. Wish there were more places like it!

I went on a Tuesday, which is local day, and it’s great that they open the pool to the community. It’s a nice gesture, and it gives locals a chance to enjoy the space. The only thing that kept me from giving five stars is that locals are required to sit on the grass in special chairs, and you’re not allowed to sit anywhere else. It’s still enjoyable, but it would be nice to have a bit more flexibility or access to the regular seating.

This review is for the glamping experience only. The place is better designed as a pool club, but the glamping was not what I expected. I went with a friend to scope it out to bring our families there later. We won't come back to glamp, maybe to swim during the day. We've glamped a lot, and the things it fell short on for us were:
- The tents lack firepits. And the one common gas firepit had a big sign saying No Smores. What's camping without your own fire, and smores?
- The tents lack a front deck or any front yard space at all to spend time with your family in front of your tent. It's a common sidewalk right in front. The trees above are very nice, but we didn't want to spend any time at the tent, or in it.
- Inside, the tents have a tarp floor that sits directly on the ground (dirt). Not on a wooden platform like every other place we've glamped. The floor sloped, the furniture leaned, and you stumbled a bit when you walk around.
- Tents are too close to each other. Some were 5 feet or less. It felt like the tents at Curry Village in Yosemite, packed like sardines. If you go, try to go a veery slow night.
- No heated mattress pads, no heaters for that matter for the occasional chilly summer nights, and no fans for the nice white noise or circulation.
- The place was 95% empty during out stay so it was quiet. But the garbage trucks were clanking their dumpsters around 6 to wake us up, and the even lawn mowers started up at 8am on the dot.
These are the main issues. On the plus side, their common bathhouse is nice inside, their pool area was beautiful too, and their bar set-up was great. Staff were friendly. It has a hotel pool bar feel, like the Flamingo in Santa Rosa. And they are playing lounge-y style music on speakers in the ground throughout the pool, bathroom, and reception, all the way until 10pm - so the property doesn't have a glamping feel, but a hotel feel. So, we'd go back to use their day pass for the pool, but not to go glamping.

River Electric is the best! Wonderful staff, impeccably designed, and great food and drinks. I’m often longing for a place that both my children and I will enjoy. River Electric is my dream come true.
If you stay the night, the tents are cute and the beds are comfortable. The stay shaded so you don’t bake even in the summer and it cools off at night. You get the perks of camping plus the perks of a hotel. They also have a great complimentary breakfast and a nice fire pit area for evening hangs.

I only went as a day guest for the pool- and I already can’t wait to return! I arrived on a weekday, so it was pleasantly calm. I can only imagine what weekends are like, as it began to fill up in the evening as people got off work.
I booked a lounge chair by the adults only pool, which really elevated the experience. There are open seating options, but the reserved lounge allowed for drink & food ordering + delivery straight to your chair!
Favorite drink was the kiwi river something…?? It was super refreshing.
Personally, I’d rather come on a weekday to avoid a crowd, and I can absolutely see myself booking an overnight stay as I love the Russian river. They do private parties and I think that would be a great way to celebrate a birthday o something similar.
Can’t wait to come back!
