This location is a great place , they need and employee upgrade because these ladies are mean and treat you like a pile of dirt ,Maybe they are forgetting we pay for a service that they are not providing ,treating us like dirt is not in the contract i signed and does not happen at other 1000 trails . since the change of rules here by someone who knows nothing of running a park obliviously everything has went downhill. Now they went cashless you can no longer use USA currency at the pio pico campground whats next will you force us to stay insie at certain times. I read a previous review calling this place pio pico prison that is spot on the ladies treat this like boot camp and they are in-charge .You are not allowed to relax or have fun or they will penalize or retaliate and lie on you be carfull

We want to start of by saying we have stayed here at least a dozen times now, and as of late it seems to have been a little more comfortable. But I do not want to speak to soon. Normally the woman workers harass the hell out of us making our stay so stressed that we hate it. They always knit pick and harass you for any minor issue or they may make things up. They also do not enforce rules equally. Our family comes here to camp, getaway and have a good time. Not to be scolded by the ladies that work here because they are so miserable that they take it out on everyone else.I say ladies because the few men that we have ran into have been so respectful and pleasant to us it's almost as if we are in a whole different RV park! I noticed they do not like ppl golf color ,ppl with kids ,ppl with animals ,or ppl. Our last stay felt a tad more laid back for some reason. The lady that rides around on the golf cart just to pick on people and write them up everyday for no reason was not making her rounds 3 times a day, their were no new rules made up our whole stay ( shocker) we actually had a decent time . Who is to say it's going to stay like that or go back to they're old harassing ways. I guess time will tell.

I love how this campground is spacious. There are many sights but each sight has plenty of room. Loved how we could open up our back patio in a field and still felt very spaced out. People are friendly and the location is perfect as it is out in the boonies but still close enough to San Diego in minutes. So quiet and peaceful. The scenery is amazing.

We are new to the Thousand Trails community and we loved our stay at Pio Pico. It’s beautiful and peaceful here. The grounds were very well kept and you could see some new landscaped areas have been recently added. The pool/spa facilities were nice and clean as were the bathrooms. All the staff we ran into were friendly. Cell reception (Tmobile)was no good and I never did figure out how to join the paid WiFi through Jabba. But we went up to the activities center for the free WiFi for school and it worked great. The shop at the entrance of the grounds was very handy, well stocked and had reasonable prices compared to most of the facilities we have had experience with. The long term residents keep their spaces well cared for and the ones we interacted with were very nice. Thanks for the great stay!

The guys that work here are so nice. The females I don't know what's going on but they are so mean all the time or they just don't like people of color. They nitpick on us all the time every little thing they complain about we're supposed to be here camping having a good time that's not what's going on. Everybody else in the park is having a good time barbecuing camping we're doing the same thing but some reason these ladies find something to yell at us about every single day. It wasn't worth buying the membership to be harassed and discriminated against every single day our cars parked the wrong way our tents up the wrong way our animals barking too loud or animals barking the wrong way We have our animal outside the wrong way We drove too fast we drove too slow We looked at them the wrong way I mean I could go on meanwhile the full-timers here have full reign of breaking the rules or if they like you oh do anything you want. On top of this they add their own rules on to things Don't have any guests because they're going to charge $10 per guest Are you serious You're here camping you've already paid your fees now you want to charge more money because somebody comes to see you greedy people This is by far one of the worst thousand trails we stay at other thousand trails we do not experience any of this harassment these women have a power trip here. When the gentleman are working none of this happens only when the women are working for some reason. I thought it was because I was a man nope My wife tries to speak to them and they treat her worse. They offer us a free night off if we give them a five-star review sorry not going to do it people need to understand what's really going on here. Don't bring your children because they're not allowed to do anything This is Pio Pico prison and the rules change daily. I don't know why the regional office does not step in and do something about this place. I called corporate once and they said thousand Trails Pio Pico is Pio Pico's armpit of parks . Assuming it's the one they care about the least . Every morning a crabby lady rides around on a golf cart picking on certain people leave us alone let us have a good time at your park it's not picking on us stop making up a rules if it's in the rules we follow them stop adding your own to them please This is going to result in a lawsuit.
